There is a $10 cash general event participation fee for attending the event.
After that it’s up to you to decide how many of the $5.50 workshops you would like to attend.
Friday August 24th – at the Holiday Courtyard on Whiskey Row
Theme for this casual social event is Outlaws vs. Aliens– meet n’ greet kick off party at the Holiday Courtyard 6:30pm – 9:00pm
Potluck, BYOB, Secret Sister gift exchange, dancing and drumming under the stars! Bring music via IPod or phone if you would like to perform onstage and enjoy the Beat the Heat kick-off party!
Prize given to best costume!

Workshop 1- 9:00 – 10am – Drills and Thrills: A Sassy Layered Workshop with Tierza Jacobs from Sedona
Workshop 2a- 10:15 – 11:15am – @ Elks– African Inspired Dance with Sherry Fragosa
Workshop 2b- 10:15 – 11:15am – Soft and Sharp: Eye-Catching Isolations and Slinky Moves! with Hilary Monseif
Lunch Share Session- 11:30 – 12:15 – Mix and Munch
Workshop 3a- 12:30 – 1:30pm – Bellyshare: this fun, fast paced session will feature 5 mini vignettes from 5 instructors
Workshop 3b- 1:45 – 2:45pm – @ Elks– Odds and Ends, This and That with Rajani
Workshop 4 – 1:45 – 2:45pm – Drumming for Dancers: Learn to drum, and dance to drum with Marceau de Valcourt
Open Drum and Dance at the Holiday Courtyard 6:15-6:45 pm
The drummers will kick off the show, open dancing in front of the stage available to all.
Performance at Holiday Courtyard starts at 7 pm
After Pary at Rickety Crickets – 214 S Montazuma St 9-11pm
Dinner menu will be available. Cash bar- another opportunity to perform! Bring music via PPod or phone if you would like to perform onstage.
